Dr. Carlton’s Background
Dr. Carlton graduated from Loma Linda University School of Medicine in 1996, and she has dedicated herself to exceptional pediatric care ever since. She spent her residency at UC San Diego Pediatric Residency and got her certification from the American Board of Pediatrics in 1999.
Since then, she’s gained more experience in pediatrics with Shelter Island Pediatrics in San Diego, Kaiser Permanente Fontana, Lassen Indian Health Clinic, and the Banner Health Clinic in Susanville.
Dr. Carlton’s Approach to Pediatrics
After her second daughter’s birth, Dr. Carlton started prioritizing her role as a mother and transitioned to private pediatric care. As her practice continued to evolve, Dr. Carlton developed an increased interest in mental health and holistic wellness.
By pursuing continued education through the REACH Institute (Resource for Advancing Children’s Mental Health), as well as the Institute for Functional Medicine and the Medical Academy for Pediatrics and Special Needs, Dr. Carlton has dedicated herself to furthering her knowledge of all aspects of pediatric care.
Her main interest, of course, remains in providing careful and precise healthcare to children of all ages.
